1. About us

Athens Florals is the international wedding and events platform of Elias Flower Designer by Giannis, a family floral atelier operating in Athens, Greece since 1971.

2. Acceptance

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or engage our services.

3. Website use

• The website content (text, images, design, code) is owned by Athens Florals and its principals, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
• You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any commercial reproduction requires our written permission.
• You may not use our brand names, marks, or original photography without permission.
• You may not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site.

4. Inquiries and brief submissions

Submitting a brief through the website does not create a contract. It is a request for a proposal. A binding contract only exists when:

1. We provide a written quote (usually by email);
2. You accept the quote in writing;
3. A deposit is received.

5. Quotes and pricing

• Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
• All prices are in Euros (€) and include Greek VAT (currently 24%) unless otherwise stated.
• Prices are quoted per event based on scope, venue, season, guest count, and floral selections.
• Seasonal availability of specific flowers may affect final design; substitutions of equivalent value and aesthetic quality may be made with client notification.

6. Deposits and payment

• A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50%) is required to confirm booking.
• Full balance is due at least 14 days before the event date.
• Payment methods: bank transfer (preferred), credit card (via secure processor), or cash on delivery for smaller commissions.
• Late payment may result in delay or cancellation of services.

7. Cancellation policy

• More than 60 days before event: deposit retained; balance refundable.
• 30–60 days before event: deposit + 25% of balance retained.
• Less than 30 days: full quoted amount payable.
• Force majeure (natural disaster, war, government restriction): deposit may be transferred to a future event within 24 months, at our discretion.

8. Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

• Providing venue access, delivery windows, and site information.
• Any venue permits, licences, or approvals required (we advise but do not obtain).
• Providing accurate final guest counts and layout details at least 21 days before the event.
• Ensuring safe conditions for our team during setup and breakdown.

9. Photography and marketing

We reserve the right to photograph completed floral installations for our portfolio, journal, and marketing materials. If you prefer that your event not be featured, please state this in writing before the event. We never disclose client names, venues, or personal identifying details without explicit written consent.

10. Liability

• Our liability for any single event is limited to the total amount paid for that event.
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or emotional losses.
• We are not liable for delays or damages caused by third parties (venues, planners, delivery companies, weather, force majeure).
• Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Greek or EU law (including gross negligence and wilful misconduct).

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 7 days of your event. We will investigate and respond within 14 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Consumer Protection Authority (consumer.gov.gr) or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece). Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece — without prejudice to consumer rights under Greek and EU law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance.
